Welcome to BuilderSelect (“we”, “our”, “us”). We provide an online service that connects homeowners (“Homeowners”) with vetted builders and contractors (“Contractors”). By using our website, mobile app, or any related services (“Services”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the Services.
To use BuilderSelect you must:
Be at least 18 years old; and
Have the legal authority to enter into binding contracts; and
Use the Services in compliance with Australian law.
If you are registering or using the Services on behalf of a business, you must have authority to bind that business.
You agree that you will not:
Break any Australian law when using our Services.
Post false, misleading, or offensive content.
Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
Try to bypass our system by arranging work with a Contractor or Homeowner outside of BuilderSelect to avoid paying any applicable fees.
Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have breached these rules.
You are responsible for keeping your account details secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at help@builderselect.com.au.
You can cancel your account at any time by contacting us. We may also suspend or cancel your account at our discretion if you breach these Terms.
You own the content you upload (such as reviews, photos, or project descriptions). However, by posting it, you give us a licence to use, display, and share it for the purpose of operating and marketing BuilderSelect.
You must have the right to share anything you post. You are responsible for your own content.
If any fees apply (for example, if you are a Contractor), you agree to pay them in line with the payment terms provided. All prices are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
BuilderSelect is not a building company. We do not perform construction work and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any work done by Contractors.
We do not guarantee that any Contractor or Homeowner will follow through with an agreement.
You use our Services at your own risk. We make no guarantees that our Services will always be available or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense you may suffer in connection with:
Any building work or services provided by Contractors.
Any dealings or disputes between Homeowners and Contractors.
Use of or inability to use our Services.
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law.
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the new version on our website. If you continue to use our Services after the changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of Australia.
